What do we see

We can see length, breadth and height i.e. we can see, feel, think of, lie in three dimensions.

But is it the only thing we do?

Can’t we see other than this?

Can’t we imagine world other than this?

What we see is length and breadth of the object. So, we are made up for 3D. But can we imagine world in 2D?

World in 2D will be something which does not have one of the three above mentioned dimensions.

Let’s see which we can cut out.

Imagine I have a picture in which there is a mountain in background, a tree just backside of a man standing just ahead of man.

So, I have to cut one of the dimensions what if I cut height? Then all things will be a point from front and we can’t recognize or know from front? So, skip this dimension.

What if we cut length? Then all the things will be a straight line? So again skip it.

So, can we cut breadth i.e. the feeling of near and far? If we do that, then just for time being, we change our place (view point) to any other side, we will see just a line. And from front………just a plane.

In this plane, we will see that the man is standing, on the same place dog is standing, on the same place tree is there and on the same place mountain is also there………also with their original height and breadth.

Huh! Hard to imagine.

But this is only a picture………

What about whole world just in one screen………Impossible.

So, we can see or feel only three dimensions.

But is that we really do?
<!--[if !vml]--><!--[endif]-->

Let’s go to geometry. Imagine a cube with length = L, Breadth = B and Height = H. So, we can see it and feel it.

Assume that there’s a line joining origin O (0, 0, 0) to A (L, B, H). This will be a slant line in all 3 dimensions and we can feel it.

Now, imagine we are standing on plane of L * H i.e. shaded plane. What we can see is a line joining points B and A (not O and A).

Imagine, we are standing on plane on plane L * B i.e. dotted plane. Then we can see line is joining points O and C (not O and A).

Why this happens??? This is because when we stand in one of the dimensions, we cannot feel it.

Can this be applied to what we are seeing right now? This will mean that as we are standing in one dimension, we can’t feel it but we can see other 3 dimensions.

Then what is the dimension we are standing at? It’s, of course, TIME. Let’s take an example for proving this.

If we try to see revolution of earth around sun then it wouldn’t be oval as time can’t come back i.e. the line drawn in time dimension can’t reverse its direction. Then earth will “REVOLVE” in a straight line. we ing in one dimension aree are seeing right now? one of the dimensions, we cannot feel it.

Can anyone imagine it???

Thus, as long as we are studying in time’s plane, we are happy. The moment we step out, can’t say how will we see our previous frame of reference and what will be our frame of reference at that time?

Let’s make things more complicated. Great scientist Mr. Albert Einstein has discovered 13 dimensions.

Then as we see only 3, are we simultaneously stepping on remaining 10 dimensions……… and how are we doing that???

Atleast I don’t know………
